The team trekked out to Shelter Cove on Friday for a public meeting at the Shelter Cove community center. We had about 30-35 people join us to talk about the future of Shelter Cove's fishing community. Our team received a lot of very thoughtful feedback and ideas that would benefit not only the fishing community but the entire town. We would like to thank the Shelter Cove Resort Improvement District for sponsoring the meeting space. It was a wonderful place to hold a meeting!
Wednesday was bright and sunny with record high temperatures for Eureka, yet the allure of fishing community futures still managed to bring about 70-75 people out to the Wharfinger Building to talk about what they'd like to see for the future of the port. The team got a lot of great feedback from the public and we'll begin analyzing that data and integrating it into future planning documents soon.
